Paddock, field & garden work is carried out using a quad bike, ensuring easy access to small & large areas with no heavy tyre marks.

Spraying
Spraying: Weed control is vital for the productive growth of healthy grass. To obtain the best results, spraying of weeds should be undertaken when the weeds are in early, active growth. Spot Spraying or Boom Spraying will kill weeds such as docks, thistles, nettles, dandelions and ragwort in a safe way whilst allowing the grass to continue growing. (PA1 & PA2 qualified).
Springtyning/Harrowing
Springtyning/Harrowing: Harrowing is usually done in spring and autumn and removes old dead grass and weeds from the field whilst simultaneously aerating the ground to promote the healthy growth of grass. I use springtynes as I believe them to be superior to a chain harrow and they are also better at spreading mole hills and dried muck more evenly. In addition to their primary purpose, I also use the springtynes to maintain menages by raking over the sand for a fresh look and improved schooling experience.
Fertilising
Fertilising: Fertilising the grass helps to maintain and promote healthy green grass and prevent over grazing. For those with horses or livestock is can help to reduce the cost of additional hay throughout the year.
Topping
Topping: Regular topping (cutting the grass) is an important part of paddock maintenance. Not only will your paddocks look tidy and well kept, but it also helps to manage weed control by preventing weeds from flowering.
Hedge Cutting
Hedge Cutting: Hedge cutting is done by hand and I am able to chip branches up to 5 inches.
Log Splitting & Chipping
Log Splitting & Chipping: The 22 tonne Rock Machinery Venom log splitter can mange all your log splitting requirements, especially during the winter months when log piles for the wood burner are a necessity! Please call for further details.
